Poem: Love Is Blind

 

When your head is in the clouds,
When you want to be away from the crowds,
When your world goes round and round
And your feet can’t touch the ground.

When you glow, laugh, and enjoy the breeze,
And sing and dance with birds and trees,
With spirits so high, you become your best,
Your nights gleam. You don’t want to rest.

You think of someone hundred times a day,
Thinking about them makes you happy and gay,
All day long you seem sprightly and bright,
Your eyes have a sparkle, a special light!

When the moon glimmers and stars shine,
You smile to the sound of your wind chimes,
That’s when you know that love is blind,
That it listens to the heart, not the mind!
